Daily UI Challenges
About the Challenge:
I signed up for the Daily UI Challenge from dailyui.co and I have been working on furthering my practice as a designer. These are meant to help develop my skills as a designer, and not meant to be absolutely perfect. That said, I would love feedback and critique of my work. Please feel free to reach out if you have comments or questions!
Day 1: Create a Sign Up Page
I was inspired by some backgrounds on Unsplash, a Figma plugin and decided to make a simple sign-up page for an imaginary app, called Plant Genius. What does it do? I’m not sure yet…
Day 2: Create a Credit Card Checkout Page
Taking some ideas from my food delivery app, and embracing the growth that I’ve made since I designed it, I designed a checkout page for Hangry, Inc. That burger looks pretty tasty!!
Day 3: Create a Landing Page
After checking out a few landing pages, I searched Unsplash again for some stock photos of musicians. I wanted this landing page to be a little bit edgy and came up with a company offering music lessons.
Day 4: Calculator
For some reason (maybe it was my daughter’s dress that day) I was thinking that outer space might be a good way to let some colors pop on a calculator face. I think the design came out all right!
Day 5: Create a Plugin Icon
I really was stuck on this one for a long time, but after doing some exploring and checking some other icons, I determined that maybe simple and bold was the right idea.
Day 6: Create a Profile Page
I was imagining a profile page for a person who is looking for a musical connection! As someone who has had a tough time finding the right people to play music with, I thought this might be a cool opportunity to imagine what someone might want to advertise when looking for people to play music with.
Day 8: 404 Page
I took some inspiration from a picture on Figma in the Illustrations plug-in and created the company “Paper Finders”. The rest just kind of followed from there!
Day 9: Music Player
My inspiration is right here in the music player- The Ramones record “Leave Home.” Not sure if this is a player that just plays Ramones songs, but that wouldn’t be so bad, would it?
